Drilling to increase indicated resource of 350,000 ounces gold, 18,000,000 ounces of silver and 194,000 tonnes zinc.
In Australia, Management has developed a two pronged strategy to move this project forward:
1) Further detail modeling and economic assessment of the known resource with
ongoing drilling set to increase the resource on a path leading to production.
2) "Discovery" drilling program to test historic (known) metal occurrences, recently defined airborne electromagnetic anomalies and extensive geochemical gold and base metal anomalies.
This is the Company's most advanced asset. This Volcanic-Hosted Massive Sulphide (VHMS) deposit was discovered and delineated by existing management and consists of two mineralized bodies, the Main Zone and Tom's Zone which contain a combined in-situ metal value of over US$300 million. Recent airborne geophysical surveys have been conducted over the Company’s tenement providing an increased ability to detect new, buried metal deposits along a corridor of prospective rocks that extend for over 20 kilometres within the tenement. An extensive follow up geochemical survey has provided a means of screening the prospectivity and prioritizing the exploration of numerous precious and base metal occurrences for follow up drilling.
Scoping study ongoing at the known resource with
7,200 metres of drilling underway
The Company continues to advance the known resource and
has completed a revised resource estimate as part of an ongoing scoping
study. A 7,200 metre drilling program is underway with 4,500 metres
focused on expanding and further defining the known resource and 2,700 metres of
exploration drilling to test regional targets for satellite deposit
potential.
