Environmental stewardship:
Tri Origin conducts its work in an environmentally and socially responsible manner and is a leader in being proactive towards the environment and recognizes the importance of this approach to the long term viability of the global mining industry. Tri Origin requires that its staff abide by the applicable laws and regulations within each region of which we operate. In the absence of legislation, Tri Origin’s work will be done to the highest standard of "best industry practice".
Tri Origin believes that the environmental impacts of early-stage mineral exploration are minimal, manageable and can be rehabilitated. A fundamental respect for the environment (the flora, fauna, landscape) where we work and appropriate planning are essential to the Company's approach to conducting its programs. With early application of these principles, sustainable development follows from successful exploration.
Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. is a proud sponsor and member of e3Plus “A Framework for Responsible Exploration” and conducts its work in accordance with guidelines set out in an extensive e3Plus handbook. The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (the “PDAC”) developed the e3Plus initiative in order to help exploration companies continuously improve their social, environmental and health and safety performance and to comprehensively integrate these three aspects in to all their exploration programs.
Community involvement:
The communities in which we work are of vital importance to Tri Origin, and our aim is to build long term, sustainable relationships with our neighbours. Wherever possible Tri Origin will do its best to enhance the capacities of the local communities of which we are a part. Tri Origin’s programs are carried out in remote locations and nearby communities are relied upon to provide basic supplies and services. The Company engages with local communities as best possible and uses local suppliers and expediters. In many cases, generic Tri Origin “ads” are put out in local newspapers to indicate that the Company is active in the region. As required, temporary staff is sourced locally to perform some field duties such as line cutting and core-cutting. Tri Origin is committed to consulting with and working with the local communities in which we operate.
Health and Safety:
Tri Origin recognizes that its employees have the right to a safe and healthy working environment. Tri Origin is committed to ensuring that all company employees have the necessary skills and equipment to safely complete their tasks. Tri Origin provides a safe and rewarding environment for its employees and contractors to work in and our goal is to prevent or minimize work related-injuries. All project work is conducted within the guidelines set out in project-specific site safety manuals.
